Susan Schein – Advertising – Birmingham had the Chevy Man for years, so we branded Susan as the Chevy Woman by creating a reversed-melody jingle after the famous song “Pretty Woman.” Brum helped Susan Schein to become the #1-volume Chevy dealer in April, 2009, something she’d hoped to do for a long time. We’ve handled Susan Schein’s advertising since 2007.
Vital Smiles – Advertising – They had been spending tens of thousands a month on radio with little response before hiring Brum Advertising. Vital Smiles was a referral from a local radio Rep who said Vital Smiles desperately needed a good ad agency. We took over their advertising in March, 2005 and have worked with them since. We created customer surveys to help them determine the best stations/shows on which to advertise to reach more customers like the ones they already had. At one point, we also encouraged them to double their marketing budget. They did so, and grew very rapidly; so much so that they decided to open locations in markets all around the Southeast. Vital Smiles referred another long-time client of ours, Eye Care Place.
Eye Care Place – Advertising – Referred by Vital Smiles. – We’ve handled Dr. White’s advertising since 2006 when Vital Smiles referred her to Brum Advertising. Her practice has grown a lot as a result. She has now opened a second location across town and continues doing well!
Accent Mortgage – Advertising – Grew from a small start-up mortgage company in 1999 to a large local mortgage company with a branch also opening in Baltimore, MD. Their monthly ad budget grew exponentially along with their business growth.
Clinton Plastic Surgery – Web, SEO, Advertising & PR – We began working with Dr. Clinton in 2001. Dr. Clinton has regularly stated that the advertising created by Brum for his practice accounts for upwards of 85% of his practice’s patient base. In addition to his marketing, we also created his website which Dr. Clinton and his staff, friends, and colleagues continue to rave over! His new web design looked and performed much better than his previous website created by another large web firm. Furthermore, we created Dr. Clinton’s 55-page website in only two months, when the other company had taken over 2 years and still wasn’t quite finished. And to boot, we charged only a fraction of the cost the other company had charged. In addition, Dr. Clinton wanted to implement SEO for his site. Under his previous company’s SEO contract, Dr. Clinton’s old website was showing no higher than page 3 for any of the key terms. We were able to help him reach page 1 in Google for most all of the 30 key terms in only a few months! We regularly look for opportunities to line up PR for Dr. Clinton, regularly procuring TV interviews and the like for him.
Schaeffer Eye Center – Advertising – They needed help with their long-form Television Infomercials, web videos, and a little help with their commercial production. We stepped up to the plate in 2012 and they have been very satisfied since, with our ability to provide a higher-quality production and faster turn-around than they had previously received.
Birmingham Home & Garden Show – Advertising & Promotion/PR – In 2010, MarketPlace Events, the largest Event Provider in North America, found our agency online (as Brum’s SEO efforts had secured us a top ranking in Google for advertising agencies in Birmingham, Alabama). MarketPlace Events interviewed with three agencies (Brum and two others). We won the business after presenting our proposal. In our first year handling the show, we helped them to realize a 150% increase in ticket sales… up from 7,000 ticket sales to over 17,000 our first show! For each show we handle, we have been able to not only place winning schedules with area stations, but line up and assist with tons of promotional/ PR opportunities as added value. Tickets sales actually continued to increase so much that we received national accolade from MarketPlace Events’ corporate offices, saying we were knocking it out of the park! We continue to help them grow show attendance, with ticket sales now approaching 30,000 each show, making the show once again one of Birmingham’s premiere events each year!
In the Spring of 2015, they referred us to The Southern Women’s Show when MarketPlace Events learned that The Southern Women’s Show was seeking an advertising agency. We then interviewed with the Southern Women’s Show staff and they subsequently hired Brum after interviewing ours and other agencies for the job.
Church of the Highlands – Advertising – We were chosen to handle the advertising for Church of the Highlands in 2007 and have handled it since. Church of the Highlands was named the fastest-growing church in the United States several years ago.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Alabama – PR – We helped The Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Alabama during a year-long transition period between in-house marketing managers to handle their PR and assist with regular event promotion. Our PR stint culminated as they were very pleased with our assistance in lining up and handling NFL Hall of Famer, Desmond Howard, as their key-note speaker for a special event for which we garnered strong media coverage.
New Balance – PR – We handled the PR for nearly 2 years for Wesley McCluney, the largest New Balance franchisee in America (Wes owns 9 New Balance stores around the SouthEast) – this at a time when they felt they needed help creating a bigger splash in the Birmingham market. Our Social Media created lots of buzz each month and the PR campaigns created a regular monthly stream of TV & Radio coverage and interviews that we were able to facilitate on his behalf each month. Wes is presently considering hiring Brum Advertising not only for his PR, but for all of their regular marketing needs in all of his markets.
The Cakerie – PR – Brum handled the transition of both their move and name change. We consulted with Lexi Mota Ginsburg, owner of The Cakerie, about the best way to handle the transition. We implemented a two-stage PR effort to promote first the name change, then the move, lining up lots of media on their behalf.
